Making a Paragon.
I'm making a paragon finally (after neglecting to for soo long) And i've got a couple of elite Para tomes laying around. Was wondering what would be a good elite for a command paragon to use.

Hmm, DA is nice yes, but the energy cost seems a bit high, for the low duration, and long recharge. :S

A 9 second duration is fine on such a powerful defensive buff.
And 15 energy is really not much of an issue for a Paragon. "GftE!" solves your problems.

Paragons should very very rarely have energy problems

[skill]Cruel Spear[/skill]
[skill]Stunning Strike[/skill]
[skill]Focused Anger[/skill]
No Paragon should be without these.
Consider:
[skill]"For Great Justice!"[/skill][skill]Focused Anger[/skill]
[skill]Barbed Spear[/skill][skill]Stunning Strike[/skill]
12/12 Leadership Spear Mastery is FTW.

Where's SoR? It's used quite much nowadays too.

No it isn't. You need 9 in Command or Motivation so you can use your shield.

The 8 armour isn't that necessary. If you can find a req 7 15 AL shield then you're in luck as you can have a 12/11/6 split. (13 leadership doesn't do anything)

In terms of a Motivation Type Healing build. What's a viable elite skill option other than SoR?

Song of Purification is the only other Motivation Elite I would run, and not often at that.

Not just sticking to Motivation. Could be a leadership one also. (already running Defensive anthem((at certain times)) )

I would still say Song of Purification, although Song of Restoration and Defensive Anthem are probably better for general PvE.
The other recommended option is take Focused Anger as an adrenaline engine and pump out "Save Yourself", throwing some "There's Nothing to Fear"'s into the mix aswell. Considering the large amounts of damage reduction you can create with just a single character, you could probably just leave healing to the monks.

Defensive Anthem if you lack a source of weakness or expecting many physicals.
Song of Purification if you're lacking in party heals in a condition heavy area, or you're expecting enemies that have a means of applying dazed or blind repeatedly.
If you want to play with Song of Restoration, don't go overboard on the heals. It, and Ballad of Restoration is all the healing you should worry about doing. If you don't mind maintaining Mending Refrain, I would drop Ballad for it as it will restore a lot more health in comparison. 120 health at +3 regen it heals during the 20 seconds it takes for Ballad of Restoration to recharge.

fail one dimensional damage bar. Focused anger is the only useful elite of the lot (outside of stunning strike in gvg, cruel is bad because you dont often find a deep wound from CS).
FA however is a nice enabler for either save yourselves in pve, or decent pressure from spear of lightning / holy spear. In pve you can even put conjure on that for pretty #'s

What are you on?
CS's DW pretty much always lands and it's extra sweet because of the way CS's DW works!
And Daze in PvE - always sweet!

No need for Barbed imo.
Anthem Of Flame does the job very nicely + one can use it to keep up AR outside of fights.

The only times I really want daze is against bosses and waiting for 10 adrenaline takes way too long. I'd rather take a Broad Head Arrow to apply the daze before the party is one-shotted.

daze isnt sweet in pve - stunning strike fails at such an unworthy cost (by the time you amass 10adren - it won't be very useful
